Hi! My name is Carter Owens and I am the founder and lead craftsman of Owens Leatherworks. I was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama which is where I still reside. I am a recent college graduate and make leather goods on the side to help support myself. 

From a young age I have always had a desire to find a trade involving building or creating products with my hands. Once I began driving in high school, I started taking on small contract jobs in my area and loved every bit of building new things every day.

While in college I discovered leathercraft and fell in love with the trade and everything involved within. To me there is no better feeling than to have the ability to create a product that someone else can use in their everyday routine. 

While having this in mind, I have dedicated myself and the business to creating the highest quality of leather goods as possible. I have always believed in buying good, solid products that last forever.

At Owens Leatherworks, we do our research, source the best materials, practice traditional crafting methods, and field test our products before making them available to the public. This ensures to us and our customers that our products will last a lifetime.
